Get back to the basics!

New to yoga or practicing for a bit?
A strong foundation in anything is of the upmost importance. Knowing the why’s and how’s behind your practice will only allow you to go further. Learn why we do what we do in yoga! It may just look like “fancy stretching” but it is so much more than that if you allow it to be.

There are principles that you can apply which not only will help you in every single posture you will do in yoga but in your everyday life to help prevent and correct discomfort in the body. Learn how to use your breath for your benefit not only in the practice but also to apply what you learn in your daily life.

For instance, breathing is an extremely powerful tool and we are blessed with the ability to have it function involuntarily or to be able to manipulate our breath as we need for any desired effect we are trying to achieve.

We will go through the most foundational postures in the sun salutation series and break down each one. Learning these postures sets you for all the rest. Lastly, we will explore the gift of meditation. Why we should practice it and a few different ways we can meditate. Come with a beginners mind.  Even if you have been practicing for a while and want a little guidance and help in your practice. This series is for you. All levels welcome.

This will be a 3 part series held on Sunday April 30th, May 7th, and May 21st from 3-4:30pm.
(skipping May 14th for Mothers Day)

All participants are welcome to stay after for the Pure Yin class at 5pm.
