Yoga found me in 2012, and it changed my life in 2015 when I became a certified instructor and then again in 2022 when I became a studio owner!

Over the course of these past years of teaching yoga, I have found a deep love and passion for the world of healing arts. Through several teacher trainings I have attended and many I have helped facilitate, to learning traditional Thai massage, reiki and energy work so much has unfolded before me.

It is my desire to be a hollow bone for healing. It is not me but the Spirit that moves in and through me.

We are in a time of great stress, fear, deep rooted pains that go far back into our childhood and ancestral lines. Healing happens when we dig through the learned behaviors, survival modes and masks that cover our true nature. We live in a world where ailments are brushed off with pain meds and pharmaceutical but never getting to the roots. I believe it is my calling and is of great importance that we don’t treat only the symptoms but the person on a whole level individually. My path is to to be a channel and a vessel for healing. Whether that be physical pains, emotional, energetic or anything in between. I want to help people break free from their old stories and patterns. I want to help people get deep within and release all that is bound. I see them on a path of growth, freedom, and a new love and healing for themselves. I see them approaching life with new eyes and new perspectives. There’s is more to this life than what we see on the surface. It all goes so much deeper.

I am the owner of Llamaste Yoga and Healing and I am happy you are interested in our studio! Along with classes, I also offer bodywork and healing sessions over at the Llamaste Healing side of things!

Hazel Curry

I attended my first yoga class over fifteen years ago. I was looking for a way to relieve stress and promote better mental health. I immediately fell in love with the practice of yoga, although my understanding of what the practice of yoga is has evolved and changed over time. In the years that followed that first introduction to yoga, I went through several major life changes and transitions. My personal practice took a long pause.

In 2018 I went through a divorce and at the same time entered recovery from drug use. I returned to the practice of yoga to help heal my body and spirit from trauma of all kinds. I found peace on the mat. My practice deepened and my life transformed.

It is with deep honor, gratitude, and humility that I step onto the mat as a teacher to hold space for and offer guidance to others through the practice of yoga. All roads have led to this moment.

I am excited to share in your journey, and to meet you wherever you are today.

Jeanne Lamb

MS, EYT 200

At a very early age, I learned that yoga had the power to heal. As the daughter of a Navy pilot and a Hippie mom, I traveled a lot as a kid. The excitement of travel often turned into full-blown asthma and panic attacks. My mom had a strong interest in meditation and yoga, and taught me to use breathing techniques and stillness to help control asthma and anxiety which had hospitalized me several times. Using these techniques helped me transition from homes in Australia to India to Saudi Arabia and back to Australia for boarding school.

As an adult, Yoga kept poking at me and I would brush it away, thinking I need a more intense form of activity. I was a runner and participated in various endurance events to challenge my mind and body. No chanting, incense, and slow movements for me, but an 8-mile run on a Saturday morning, and I was in! A friend opened a yoga studio in town; I took my free class and never went back. Got a Rodney Yee DVD as a gift and never opened it. I took a class at the local junior college as an ‘easy’ PE credit, loved the class, made an A, became friends with the instructor…and moved on.

Yoga found me once again while I was training for my first triathlon. Something about yoga resonated with me at this time. The class was warm, the poses made my muscles burn and my mind quit yelling at me. I felt full and wiped clean all at the same time. Shortly after that, I went to visit my Mom, now a  massage therapist. She leased massage space in the office of a yoga studio. I did yoga every day that I could while I was there. Hot. Cold. Slow. Fast. All of it. I decided that I wanted to learn more. I went into teacher training with no plans to teach. Like a lot of people, I wanted to know more about why certain poses did what they did, what I could do to rehabilitate my ankle, and all the rest of whatever it was that made yoga "work” for so many different ailments and the people that wear them.

My discovery of Yoga became a huge part of healing my body, and as a result of that, learning tools to help me begin healing my heart and mind. I continue to learn and practice. It is an honor to be on this journey with you.

“Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

My name is Mees.
I am a travel-obsessed yogi with an affinity for nature, sound healing work, and plant medicine.
While on my own healing journey, I found my love for the philosophic teachings of yoga and and how it can be explored to raise our consciousness and deepen the connection to our bodies. I knew that guiding others through the path of self-discovery and healing was the direction I wanted to take to serve the collective.
My aim is to send my students into a deeply rooted mind-body-spirit awareness through a grounding experience of breath, movement, nature influenced meditations, and sound healing.
I encourage students to explore yoga beyond the mat in their day to day lives by embodying and embracing the nature within themselves.

I currently offer a relaxing Yin/Restorative slow flow, followed by a sound healing immersion Savasana on Wednesday nights.

Maddie Wildman

300HR CYT

Maddie is an experienced yoga therapist that loves holding space for healing and transformation with a wide variety of students.

“My teaching journey started in assisted living/retirement homes teaching chair yoga to seniors with limited mobility. The elderly are very dear to my heart and it just lights me up to be able to spend time with them and ease their stiffness and pain. I teach the beginner’s yoga flow class at Llamaste and it is such a joy to guide others through the foundations and key principles of yoga. I also lead the advanced vinyasa practice followed by our weekly mantra meditation. It is so fun to challenge my fellow yogis and watch you all grow! I am also growing as a kundalini yoga teacher and a HIIT yoga instructor! Yoga has transformed my life in ways that I never thought were possible. I am so passionate and excited to be able to share these teachings with whoever is open to healing themselves!”

Maddie also offers private yoga sessions for those who want a little extra attention on their practice at any level of experience. These sessions will focus on each student’s specific needs/desires. They can include breathwork, meditation, asana(yoga poses), and strength training.
